Approved For Release 2008/03/03: CIA-RDP80B01676R001500080019-6 MEMORANDUM FOR THE RECORD Morning Meeting of 2 December 1966 2 December 1966 Duckett briefed on the status of the U. S. ABM program. (See Action 1) DD/I briefly summarized his trip and said that he will be sending the Director a formal repor . Godfrey reported that Secretary Rusk has requested that he be sent the Vietnam Sitrep during his trip to the Far East. He noted that OCI is breaking out the Long An Annex from the 29 November Sitrep on a Secret level at the request of the State Department. Godfrey tabled a memorandum identifying the various Arab ter- rorist organizations. The Director asked that this paper be given wide distribution. DD/S reported that the FBI anticipates demonstrations in connec- tion with an Agency recruiting visit to Hunter College. He briefed the Director on the Agency recruiters who would be involved. He outlined procedures which the Agency is presently using in such cases, and the Director made additional suggestions. Carver briefed on actions taken to assist DIA in preparing a brief- ing on operations with regard to Cambodia. He proposed with the agreement of the DD/P that he represent the Agency on a small inter- departmental study group on the war in Vietnam. The Director agreed. Bross asked the Director if he wants to have PFIAB members Baker and Land invited to Headquarters for briefings. The Director indicated that he is still pondering this matter and will talk with Bross later today. A-DD/S&T noted that for the past two days he was a member of an advisory panel to the Air Force on the long-term development of pene- tration aids. DD/P called attention to a State cable from Bonn and noted that is presently at Headquarters. He mentioned the article on Thailand in the recent issue of Atlantic Monthly. (See Action 3) DDCI said that he was in touch with John Foster on Soviet MIRV's and that Foster's office will be in touch with the A-DD/S&T today. said that the Agency is working up a report for Ambassador Goldberg on Soviet-French collusion on UN matters. The Director admonished that the Deputy Directors take proper care with briefings and the choice of briefers in servicing outside groups, such as PFIAB. 1. The Director asked for a general chronological survey of the Agency's knowledge of the Soviet ABM program and the Agency's Congressional briefings on this subject. (ONE/OCI - today) 2. The Director asked A-DD/S&T to brief the Executive Com- mittee on anticipated developments in U. S. strategic weapons. (A-DD/S&T - 9 December) 3.
