Morning Meeting of 25 November 1966
of ORR gave a briefing on computer technology
in the USSR. The Director agreed with the DDCI's suggestion that
this briefing be repeated for the USIB principals when the agenda would
permit.
DD/I discussed the appearance of North Korean pilots in air oper-
ations over North Vietnam. pointed out that the smallest unit 25X1
in the North Korean Air Force is of regimental size, which might
account for the surprising number of North Korean pilots.
DD/I said that he had been in touch with) (regarding the 25X1
assessments of three aspects of the war in Vietnam which had been
requested by the Secretary of Defense. He intends to check outlines of
these studies with Secretary Vance's office.
DD/I called attention to the satellite reconnaissance schedule for
December.
Godfrey briefed on the Jordanian situation. (See Action 1)
Carver noted that the new procedures for reporting on pacification
progress are now being instituted in several areas.
