The Director of Training has brought to my
attention the assistance which you recently rendered
the Committee an Professional Manpower.
There is no subject of more long-term impor-
tance to the Agency than its ability to attract, retain,
and employ wisely the talents of the ablest young men
and women in America. The Report of the Committee
an Professional Manpower forms an exceptionally use-
ful basis for taking the steps necessary to ensure that
the quality of our professional corps continues to war-
rant the fullest respect and confidence of those whom
we serve.
