The Director mentioned that the Joint Chiefs of Staff
had been briefed on CIA operations on Monday. He pointed out that
they were informed that particularly in the field of covert operations
we were doing advanced planning only because no other agency was 25X1
doing so. In answer to question from Dr. Langer, he stated that he
expected the Joint Chiefs of Staff to make available papers of interest
to the agency. In this connection he asked O/NJ to have
call on General Bradley and Admiral Davis and discuss with them what
we need.
In response to an inquiry from Dr. Chddwell the
Director stated that he, personally, intended to be in Frankfurt in
-,July for the annual meeting of Military Attaches.
