Becker referred to Dr. Langer's recommmendation that then DG1,G.eny Gen. Samford's request for an estimate on orally, rather than by meano. The DCI indicated that he ha rea e paper making such recommendation and approved, 25X1 Mr. Decker also raised Dr. Chadwell's recommendation that a post~o~~ement be given as to the atomic energy estimate and that the recently cleared consultants be announced to the IAC. As to the former, the DCI indicated that he wo uld handle. 4s to tflae latter, he indicated that the atomic energy people should ne consu~-ted and asked to recommend a man they thought best qualified to review such ate estimate. Immediately after the meeting, I~lr. ~rdisner gave to the DCI a bri::f report of a much more favorable turnd~~r of events in PSB's consideration of how to get under way with the preparation of a "National Psychological Strategy".
