Wisner, Wolf, Amory, Kirkpatrick, a. Referred to the list of questions given us by the Budget Committee and asked DD/A to prepare answers to the statistical portion of these questions for the Committee by 1 May, noting he wished to study the remainder over the weekend. a. Briefly reported on his talk yesterday with in connection with the returning U.S. POW's and undertook to prepare a brief memorandum for the Director for his use at today's PSB Luncheon. a. Noted that G-1 had requested we make available as many Korean translators as possible to assist in translating activities during the peace negotiations. The Director asked General Cabell to make the decision on this request after the full facts in connection therewith have been obtained by DD/A. b. Reported that at the present time the Agency had thirteen security cases pending -- five of which have been heard and the remaining eight to be processed as soon as possible. a. Mr. Amory: a. Reported that the problem of the Director's misquote in the NEW YORK TIMES of 29 April concerning British security in connection with atomic energy matters, was in hand.
