b. Reported that in a recent conversation with Admiral Radford
he (Radford) had indicated that 25X1

in joining CIA. Mr. Amory undertook to get in touch wit The 25X1

to get in touch with the Agency concerning employment and noted his 2 5X1
intention to speak in further detail with Admiral Radford on this.
d. Referred to an article on CIA by James Burnham in the 15 August
TABLET and stated he assumed the Burnham case was properly documented in

Wisner drew the Director's attention to his memorandum of 8 October on
this subject which pointed out in part that in view of the publicity
given this program it would appear it could no longer be considered a
covert operation and, therefore, we should be off the hook once and for
all. undertook to again show the above-cited memorandum to
the Director.
g. Noted he had discussed with Mr. John Hughes 25X1
request that CIA furnish Mr. Hughes with all possible available current
intelligence and stated Mr. Amory had this matter in hand.
