Wisner, Amory, Lloyd Kirkpatrick, Bissell Helms, Roosevelt, Sheldon, General Truscott, 25X1 25X1 a. Stated that DCI immediately upon his return will be anx=ous to have discussions concerning the Laotian and Cambodian situations b. Requested all present to be prepared to brief the DCI upon his return on developments in their respective bailiwicks which have occurrec during the DCI's absence. ACTION: DD/P, DD/I, DD/S, SA/PC/DCI, TG. d. Requested Mr. Lloyd to hand out copies of a proposed Agency i o>t:i ce on security which the Acting DCI desires to issue. Before actual issuance he wished to know if there were any suggested changes in the Notice as drafted. It was generally agreed by those present that the Notice was mast satisfactory in its present form. L 25X1 25X1 a. Noted that General Cassidy had requested answers to several questions concerning the DD/P area and had been supplied with substantial rater~i 1 in 25X1 response to his queries. Remarked that from what he had seen of the proposed Yugoslav briefing to the NSC he thought it a little too "pat". Mr. Sheldon noted that the briefing was modified the previous evening and probably took ca-e of Mr. Wisner' s objections in that respect. General Cabell askea that t'-e revised ITSC briefing be shown to Mr. Wisner for his comments prior to the NSC meeting now scheduled for Friday, 12 October. ACTION: DD/I and 3D/!'. 25X1 Mr. Amory : a. Requested guidance on what position he should take with reference 25X1 0 25X1 a. Raised the question as to who is presently the working level - --'TL-representative on the President's Disarmament Committee. He noted that Vr. 25X1 had previously been the representative but that II tress nc: linger able to keep abreast of the Committee's work in view or his other duties. Advised that the President's Board will next meet on the 28th. 29th and 30th of November. They have a one-hour meeting scheduled with tie President at this time and have also expressed a desire for an oral br_ef,_ng on Intelligence Estimates. He also noted that Mr. iras pla ni ig 25X1 to take a one-month trip through the Far East, accompanied by General Cassidy, probably in March 1957. Mr. Wisner undertook to have the PE Division uor: up a proposed itinerary and plans for this trip. ACTION: DD/P b. Noted that a publication called "Task Force" which is published ,y the "Public Defenders of the American Constitution", in its current issue has an article by Huxley Blythe, an English neo-Fascist, which attacks C.CA for t'eason. Copies of this publication have been mailed to a number of Senatovs a i Congressmen, one or two of whom have made casual inquiries of CIA concerning the article. Mr. Kirkpatrick and Colonel Grogan both recommend that we i;pore the article with replies of "No comment" to any inquiries which may cone V. with the exception of certain Congressional inquiries to which we woult mike more extensive replies pointing out the unreliability of the author and his obvious inaccuracies.
