Attended PRC meeting. That experience indicated to me that more
effort should be made in writing.up,ojects to fit the particular project
into the context of other projects and I shall suggest this to 25X1
next week.
Mr. Dulles indicated that Maury Mitchell of ODM.had spoken to him
at the last NSC Senior Staff meeting, complaining as to the intelligence service
being received by ODM. One specific item Mitchell requested was the Situation
Summar that
I undertook to follow through on this. Mr. Lulles informed me
IIhas a memorandum from Mitchell and also that ad considered 25X1
this matter some time earlier. later told me that he had turned
down a request by Mitchell for une i ua ion Sununary on the groundthet they had
no need for it.
Had a discussion with Col. Arthur J. Pierce (of the War College -
code 150, ext. 3141) who was organizing acourse on psychological warfare and
desired to have Mr. Wisner as a speaker sometime between February 5 - 15.
We adjourned to Mr. Wisner's office and Mr. Wisner stated that he would advise
Col. Pierce of his decision later.
Requested II to have prepared for the General's signature a
memorandum to the Undersecretary of Defense giving an agreed breakdown, by
category,.of Russian ai nu _f to this job
and I assured him that would help.
Dr. Andrews of OCD informed me that Mr. Perkins, Deputy Chairman
of RDB, had requested SE's 10 and 13. PerkinsJiad previously received SE
and he also wished to be authorized to show 14 to others in RDB. I told
Dr. Andrews that I would call him after I had a chance to look at the subject
estimates.
