1. I refer to the exchange of correspondence between. you and General
LeMay last December wherein we requested the services of 25X1
as a consultant; a request which you very kindly acted upon to
our mutual advantage. The progress so far made by 25X1
in the investigation of new and untried means of exten ing our uncon-
ventional air capabilities has been encouraging, but is still incomplete.
Therefore I request that his period of temporary duty with the Air Force
~.e extended until approximately 15 June under the existing arrangement.
