Approved For Release 2009/01/02 : CIA-RDP80B01676R003100170022-8 r ,rg _arv 1963 MEMORANDUM FOR: Deputy Director /Support SUBJECT : ehysica,l Security of the Credit Union 1. The recent episode at the Bethesda Naval Hospital recalls to mind that I have orally expressed concern over the physical security of our Credit Union on payday when large amounts of cash ar..being handled. I realize that our situation is different from that of +'e Naval Hospital, and that all personnel in the building have been si'j?'eened for admission. On the other hand, we know by sad experience that tbore occasionally slips through our system somebody whose btiv s are not of the best, and that temptation of this large amount a? cast might prove to be too great. I am also concerned that we, our- a elves, might be lulled into too great a sense of security concerning e protection of this money. The purpose of t pis memorandum is to ask that you insure that ate the necessary security measures are in effect around the Credit Uion, particularly on payday, and that everybody is especially alert to forestall armed robbery, etc. t-irkpatrick c five I.Arector LB K: drm Distribution: Original and 1 - Addressee 1 - ER v. 1 - ExDir Approved For Release 2009/01/02 : CIA-RDP80B01676R003100170022-8
