1. The Director does not agree that Item U is an
authorized disclosure since "this statement could be inferred
from previously published information appearing in public
sources" (your memorandum of 31 January 1962).
2. It is his view that any of the statements made by
bordering on unauthorized information lend credence
to the subject matter due t+o~~ known position as an expert
