MEMORANDUM FOR: Director of Central Intelligence
SUBJECT : Congressional Breakfast, Wednesday,
9 March 1960, 0800
1. Attached are biographical sketches of each of the Congress-
men who will be coming to breakfast on 9 March, a seating arrangement,
and suggested subjects for discussion following the breakfast.
2. The group of Congressmen who are coming to breakfast
are known as the "Acorns, " and are the Republicans first elected to the
House for the 85th Congress. The president of the group this year is
Congressman Arch Moore of the First District of West Virginia, who
will be sitting on the DCI's right, and the vice president is Congressman
John Lafore of Pennsylvania, who will be sitting on the DDCI's right.
3. It is suggested that following breakfast the group adjourn
to the DCI's conference room where there will be a chart of the organiza-
tion of the Intelligence Community, and a chart of the organization of
the Agency for use if desired. I would expect that the group will probably
adjourn about 0930 because of committee commitments. STAT
