Deputy Director (Research)

1. Keferenced memorandum to the DD/ R from the DD/ P
raises the question of the transfer of various projects from TSL/
LD/ P to the DD/ 1.. The DD/ A is in general agreement with TS D
that these projects belong properly un4or the management of the
various offices of the DL/R.
2. In order to provide support to these projects when they
are transferred, it will be necessary to have sufficient funds
under the DD/ A 's authority. Appropriate answers to the DP/ .P
are being held until actual contractual authority and funds reside
in the DD/H for this purpose. Therefore, it is requested that
the Comptroller n-sake available at the earliest possible opportunity
the funds which the DDCI approved for the DD/.A programs.
