SUBJECT Distribution of the Plan for the Relocation of the
Headquarters of the Central Intelligence Agency
in Time of Emergency and Documents in Support
Thereof.
1. Transmitted herewith for use in the immediate offices of
the Director are one copy of the Plan for the Relocation of the
Headquarters of the Central Intelligence Agency in Time of Emergency,
dated 18 October 1960, two copies of the memorandum for the Deputy
Director (Plans), Deputy Director (Intelligence) and Deputy Director
(Support) from the Director of Central Intelligence, dated 18 October
1960, subject: Instructions for Deploying the Initial Emergency
Relocation Force, and two copies of the "Guide for Civil Defense
Action in the Washington Warning Area". Copies of these documents
also are being sent direct to Mr. at this time.
2. Copies of the memorandum of individual instructions for
Members of the Initial Emergency Relocation Force will be sent to
your office, and also to under separate cover.
