Dulles, Central Intelligence Agency, 2430 E. Street, N. W. , Washington, D. C., U.S.A. 1190 Kipling Ave. N. , Rexdale, Ontario, Canada May 18th, 1961 It is indeed a pleasure for the Royal Canadian Yacht Club to be host on July 9th, 10th and 11th, for The John Foster Dulles Trophy, to be followed by a Series for The Duke of Edinburgh Trophy. We expect that the combination of these two important events in one DRAGON RACE WEEK. will result in the largest turnout ever witnessed for these Series. The rapid growth of the International Dragon Class around the Great Lakes, which is still continuing, is in no small measure due to the initiative and encouragement of the late John Foster Dulles and others, who made beautiful trophies available for International competition. The late Mr. Dulles' enthusiasm for yachting led him, almost invariably, to be present at the races for his trophy, and we would, therefore, deem it an honour if you would attend our Regatta and award the trophy.
