the 100th anniversary edition of The Times which I
sent to you last week. I did, however, want to
take this opportunity to express my appreciation
for the fine letter you wrote me in connection
with the anniversary. It was very thoughtful of
you to write as you did, and I particularly en-
joyed your references to the paper in the early
1900's, for it was in those years that my father
first came to Watertown to work for The Times.
