On the occasion of your retirement, I am sending you this
personal message in recognition of long and effective service
to your Goverament.
You have served your ?ountry loyally and faithfully for more
than thirty-two years. This period includes service with the War
Department, Department of Labor. and the Department of Justice
as well as with this Agency.
Your expert and intimate knowledge of immigration. laws,
regulations, and procedures applied throughout your nine years
of service with this Agency has contributed in great measure to
the successful accomplishment of our responsibilities in alien
affairs. You can take just pride in the knowledge that the devotion
and perseverance which you have displayed throughout your career
have been consistent with the high ideals and traditions of Federal
service.
Along with your many friends here in the Agency, I extend

for who plans to retire from the
Agency 30 April 1961 under the optional provisions of the Civil
Service Retirement Act.
2. who is sixty years old, entered on
duty 17 March 1952 with the Inspection and Security Office and
is now GS-15, Office of Security. Prior
to his Agency service, was employed by the
War Department, Department o or, and the Department
of Justice. He has over thirty-two years of Federal service.
3. The Office of Security concurs in the writing of this
letter.
