We are pleased to send you the final bound copy of THE WAR: A Concise
History 1939-1945 by Louis L. Snyder, which comes with high recommendation
from many experts in the field who read the work in manuscript.
Publication is September 1, marking the 15th anniversary (our time) of the
formal Japanese surrender which effectively marked the end of World War II.
Incidentally, that date is also the 21st anniversary of Hitler's march into
Poland which actually began the war.
Naturally we are anxious for the book to reach its widest possible
