Bear Allen Dulles:
I was really frightened about the election and I
don't like to be frightened. I decided that we had leaned
too much on Mr. Eiserhawer and his administration, and
that it was high time we thought for ourselves and worked
things out. Also what you did made me a little ashamed
of my own lack of confidence in people. I do not know
whether or not you are doubtful as so many of us are, as
to the future of sound leadership in the White House, but
I do know that you never doubted for a. moment your desire
and eagerness to carry on your great and necessary work.
Real leaders like you help us in our wavering mements.
A mere "good luck" seems rather inadequate, so may
Allah walk with you and us.
