Dear Mr. Dulles : Does the Central Intelligence Agency have any objection to our group's investigation of unidentified flying objects - flying saucers? Do we have the right to investigate this subject and publicly release whatever we find out without endangering the national security or our personal safety? I would appreciate direct answers to both of these questions from your agency. Please do not refer this letter to the Air Force for answer. I know that unidentified flying objects are the concern of the Air Force and have also written them asking these same questions. I have written the Central Intelligence Agency because I would like to know what your agency will say in answer to the above questions. Thank you for your cooperation. Sincerely, C'J"~,/LAY Fred A.
