I should dearly like to accept your flattering invitation to
address the Regional Meeting of the American Ear Association
Indianapolis in May. I feel, however. I must regretfully decline!!.
In fact, I find it incompatible with meeting the respon&
bility of my work here to do public speaking that takes me awa w?
from Washington, except on the rarest occasions. In many ways,
