Approved For Release 2002/08/21 : CIA-RDP80B01676R00410015001448DD/P .(;.'~`~'3j. v7 July 1961 MEMORANDUM FOR THE RECORD SUBJECT: "Hijacking" of Aircraft by Cubans 1. shave talked to Jebe Halaby, Director of FAA and advised him that we would provide his Agency with any traffic dealing with the question of "hijacking" of aircraft. He has been given the message which came in today from II Consequently, we are referring the traffic received the afternoon of 27 July and thereafter. His interest, of course, is protection of and advising U.S. commercial lines. Nevertheless. I would give him information having to do with "hijacking" even if non-U.S. lines are involved. 2. Assuming the information is urgent and after hours, FAA has a Watch Officer who can be reached on Worth 74434. The FAA officer normally assigned to this subject is Mr. George ?rill whose number is Code 112 X-4055. Messages after having been sanitized can be sent to )A r.
