draft study prepared by the Committee staff, Report on the
National Intelligence Estimates-B Team Episode Concerning
Soviet Strategic Capabilities and Objectives. The Subcom-
mittee on Collection, Production and Quality of Intelligence
has reviewed the study and recommended that it be approved
by the full Committee.
The Committee would appreciate receiving any comments
you might wish to make on this study so that the full
Committee, which meets on the 4th of May, will have the
benefit of your views.
A subsequent summary (unclassified) version of this
study is being prepared for public release. Before releasing
any such report the Committee will check it in draft with you.
We are grateful for the cooperation you have given to
the Committee and staff in the preparation of the study.
