Dear David,
My copy of the Amherst Student is arriving
regularly, and I enjoy reading of course,'I'11
be looking with a critical eye especially at the
opinion items since you're one of the editors of
that section of the paper.
I am pleased to forward copies of the photo-
graphs taken when you visited me in my office.
I've written a personal inscription on one for you.
I'm enclosing the negatives, too, in case you want
to make additional prints.
Best wishes for a successful year. I'll be
checking on your "opinion" skills,when the Student
reports the Amherst-Williams score!

Life at Amherst is resuming back to normal. I have made
sure to add you to the subscription list of the AMHERST STUDENT.
Your first issue should be there any day now.
I was wondering if you could see to it that I received one
of the pictures that was taken when we met in your office last
month. If possible, I would appreciate it greatly if you could
sign it as well.
If there is anything I can do assist you in any way please
let me know. Until then, I'll try to send any Amherst memorabilia
that might be of your interest.
