SUBJECT: Memo Regarding Overview Section in., the
SWS Monthly Report
1. Thank you for your memo explaining the purpose of
the new overview section in the SWS Monthly Report. I
think it is a timely and effective reminder to recipients
that the political situation clearly effects the enviornineri.t;
in which the military warning indicators have to be read.
I think your summary is a balanced and thorough review of
a very.complex subject.
2. I have only two suggestions to make, one general
and one specific. In the interest of brevity you might
in the future want to confine the overview to one or two
specific areas rather than attemptingto cover the entire
spectrum.
3. On the whole, I think you have made a useful
innovation and would be interested in hearing.how others
react.
