Washington, DC 20505 Three years ago the US Army initiated a program to expose its younger officers to the Nation's intelligence capabilities and the role of intelligence in supporting the Army's mission. I enlisted support for the program from the heads of all of the national intelligence agencies. Intelligence Day presentations during this past year to selected Army schools were recently completed. As a result approximately 3500 stu- dents at seven schools benefited from these presentations. Briefings by of the IC Staff contributed significantly to the success of the program and I would appreciate you conveying my appreciation for their efforts. I am aware of the personal interest you have shown in intelligence support to the military establishment and look forward to your support of the Army Intelligence Day Program in FY 78.
