The following topics were discussed and decisions reached are re-
corded below:
1. Future Program and Organization of the Inspection Staff (MCA.-
130), The 'Committee endorsed MCA-130 as amended by the Director with
the folio-vir_grr understanding:
a) That the suggested IG program and organization should be
considered an interim measure, pending experience with the pro-
posed new system of component investigations. 'I'k,-_ IG will report
back to the Management Committee in six months on the implemen-
tation of the provisions of MCA-130,
b) That the IG will consult with the General Counsel on any
matter developed during the course of his inspections that has
legal overtones and that various regulations will be amended to
reflect this requirement. He will also keep the Legislative Counsel
informed of any topic that warrants the attention of our committees.
. c) That the Office of the Inspector General will be staffed by
unusually competent and experienced officers.
