SUBJECT: Annual Report of the Director of Central
Intelligence
1.0 Chairman Edward P. Boland of the House Permanent Select
Committee on Intelligence has asked the DCI to include, in connection
with his Anal Report, "A comprehensive statement with specific in-
stances of foreign intelligence activities against the intelligence
community crganizations and corrective action taken by the FBI, the
CIA, NSA and the Military Services."
2. 0 I plan to prepare a consolidated statement responsive
to Chairman Boland's request for transmittal to the House Permanent
Select Committee on Intelligence as a classified appendix to the DCI's
Annual Report.

I t will be necessary to receive your responses by 17 November 1978 in
