Col, Truman Smith,
Greenfield Hill,
Fairfield, Connecticut,
Dear Truman;
Many thanks for your letter of October 14 which
I found upon my return from the second tour around the
country with Governor Dewey.
I have gone over your memorandum and I want to
study it thOtbughly when I get free of my present political
activities, which are now taking all of my time. I agree
that there should be an intelligence board. I uant to
give a little further thought, however, to the question
of its personnel, and I should like to discuss this with
you after November 2.
