Dear Allen:
Jane 24, 1948
I was much interested in the clipping from the
Times-Herald which I am returning. I know Walter Trohan
and though he is a nice enough fellow personally, he is
the alter ego for McCormick and the hatchet man for the
Tribune. His writings are normally carried in the Chicago
Tribune which, of course, means the Times Herald also.
I am still cogitating those articles but haven't
had any time yet to really work on them. Since writing you,
I have been commuting to Washington.
It was good seeing you the other day.
Regards.

Sincerely,
