I wish to express the appreciation of the
National Security Council for your willingness to serve
as Chairman of the survey group which we discussed last
week.
Mr. Mathias F. Correa has also agreed to
serve on the group but the third member, Mr. William H.
Jackson, has not yet definitely indicated his avail-
ability.
As soon as we hear from Mr. Jackson I will
communicate with you about further arrangements.
