RUSSSELL COMMITTEE April 24, 1958 .Memorandum to the Council Members and Guests Attending the Twenty-Fifth Anniversary Meeting at The Homestead, Hot Springs, Virginia, May 8th - 11th, 1958 a. The agenda for the business sessions for the May meeting, together with the reports of the Taxation Committee and the Special Anti-Recession Committee which are to be discussed on Friday morning and, in connection with Dr. Killian's talk Saturday night, a phamplet entitled "Introduction to Outer Space. II b. A schedule of social events. c. A list of first names and home addresses of Council members. d. A tentative list of Government officials expected. 2. a. Starting after dinner Thursday evening and continuing through Sunday evening the. Tower Lounge, opposite the Tower elevator, will be set aside for the exclusive use of Council members, Council guests and their wives. b. There will be a special coffee get-together for the ladies Friday and Saturday mornings at 10:30 in the Tower Lounge. C, Because of space limitations, members and their wives are requested NOT to invite non-Council guests into the Tower Lounge or to the receptions before dinner on Friday and Saturday evenings. d. Attendance at the Friday and Saturday dinners is limited to Council members, Council guests and their wives. The Executive Committee requests Council members not to hold private social functions during the week-end at times which conflict with scheduled Council events, particularly cocktail parties before the Council dinners. 3. There will be a men's golf tournament on Saturday afternoon on The Homestead Course. Prizes for winner and runner-up in low gross and low net will be. offered in two handicap divisions. (home club handicap). An entrance fee of $10.00 (for prizes) should be paid to the club'pro by Council members when registering; guests free. The starter will assist those members and guests so desiring to make up matches. 4. Gratuities in the Tower Lounge and for service at the receptions and dinners will be taken care of by the Council. Service in the main dining room, the casino, in rooms and in getting to and from the airport should be taken care of by individual members. ALL TIMES SHOWN ON PROGRAM ARE EASTERN STANDARD TIME.
