Dear Mr. Colby:
I was quite disturbed to read recent press reports
about a C.I.A. agent's involvement in a false cease-fire
offer in Thailand.
This incident seems tailor-made to embarrass the
United States, and to harm U.S. - Thai relations.
I would very much like to have a report on this
matter, preferably in written form, but oral if neces-
s ary.
I look forward to hearing from you.
