We have reviewed very carefully the Report on Feasibility of
CIA Conducting Selected Intelligence Training for DOD, transmitted
with Colonel Kelley's memorandum of 29 May 1974, and agree in
principle with both its conclusions and recommendations.
A CIA working group is currently reviewing the actions and
resources that would be required to conduct the training described
in the Feasibility Report. Their work should be completed within
a week or so. When it is. CIA representatives will contact your
staff to discuss implementing arrangements.
Meanwhile, I certainly endorse the basic concepts underlying
this proposal and hope it can be implemented quickly and success-
fully.
