In the attached letter to General Cushman,
Bob Froehlke proposes that DoD establish
secure on-line access to DoD CIRIS data stored
in CIA computers. DoD has made CIRIS an inte-
gral part of its PPB system.
General Cushman has sent a copy to Bross for
comment in a NIRB context. He would like to
have Col. White's comment on Froehlke's pro-
posal from an Agency policy viewpoint.

Remarks :
In the attached memo to General Cushman,
Secretary Froehlke has proposed the establish-
ment of a secure on-line capability to permit
DoD to draw directly on the CIRIS data base
stored in CIA computers. He proposes that
the entire matter be taken up at the next NLRB
meeting. Please give your recommendations to
General Cushman.
