Approved Fcolease 2005/03/17: CIA-RDP80MOl 1001500090040-5 Mr. Colby: AT X1 I lectures on computers yesterday. He estimated that between 90 - 130 attended. (He later called to say that OCS's estimate was 150 in the morning, 100 in the afternoon.) I asked what he thought of it. He replied that it was "reasonably good" in the morning when the man lectured. It was light, nontechnical, "reason- ably easy to stay awake, " fast moving, simple basic remarks on what computers and programs are. It was for rank beginners, just as it was supposed to be. In the afternoon, it was a question-and-answer session. The questions were basic and nontechnical but good, but he answered them quite poorly. He did not seem to have the ability to answer a question ant n' it clear to the nontechnical mind. He would rate it B+ for the morning, C or C+ for the afternoon. 25X i k b ng er e There are 'CO be at least eleven more lectures, each spea from a different company. (The brochure might be out tomorrow.) The next session is scheduled for 9:00 on Tuesday, 19 September. the subject is Barbara Approved For R~I~,a.@ J005/03/17 :CA DP80M01PJ8,SAPI1R OPO Q-5 of PPB attended most o 25X1
