SUBJECT: Assignment of Additional Responsibility to the
Special Group (CI)
The President r.as assigned to the Special Group (CI), as
provided by NSAIVi 124, eight countries sufficiently threatened
by Communist-inspired insurgency to warrant the specific
interest of the Group. These countries are: Burma,
Cambodia, Cameroon, Iran, Ecuador, Colombia, Guatemala,
and Venezuela; and are in addition to the Group's current
responsibility for Thailand, Laos, and Viet-Nam.
