1. At the 29 October meeting of the Special Subcommittee chaired
by Mr. Walter Rostow. It was noted that there is now a danger that recent events
will lead many groups in Latin America to relax efforts toward social and economic
reform. It was stated that a latter is being prepared for the President to seed
to Chiefs of State throughout Latin America to re-emphasis. the importance of
the Alliance.
