SUBJECT: Language Training for U. S. Government
Dependents
The President has indicated his general agreement with the
recommendations contained in the paper on language training
f.or U. S. Government dependents, prepared by the Department
of State pursuant to NSAM 293.
After specific details of the program have been developed, the
pertinent agencies should propose necessary legislative authority
and appropriations through normal channels.
