the Intelligence Community
SUBJECT Letter on Weapons Systems Committee
to General Graham from Mr. Colby
1. The attached was flagged to me by the DCI's
office, asking whether we had seen this and if we
concurred. We had not seen it, though on checking with
I find that -- fortunately --
we have no problems with 17-- 1 would suggest, however,
that it also be shown to before it is sent
back to the DCI for signature 1 has not already
seen it.
2. In this instance, no great damage was done but
as a matter of procedure I do request that papers in
which this office has an interest be checked with us
before they are sent to the DCI, particularly when the
paper in question is something for his signature and
transmission out of the building. Someday we are going
to have a quite unnecessary flap if this is not done.
