Staff study sent to D/D.CI/IC and IC Chiefs on 3 July for information. AC/IHC continuing to monitor and will report on ASD(I) conclusions from this review. I ontract for Analytical Methodologies Exploration Contract with xecutec 24 June for 4-month study under guidance of SA DCI, with AC/IHC in support. Action Officer: IHC 14. Computer Security IHC Staff is monitoring drafting process by USIB Security Committee, Computer Security Subcommittee (CSS/SECOM) on replacement for DCID 1/16. When draft prepared, we plan to present it for coordination to both SECOM and IHC, prior to eventual presentation to USIB. Action Officer: IHC A meeting was held on 2 July 1974. At this meeting, the US Army presented its R&D program. The draft status report to the DCI on Council activities together with conclusions and recom- mendations on Intelligence R&D has been circulated to members for review. Final copies of Volume I, the Executive Summary, will probably be distributed by 5 July. The main body of the report, Volume II, should be distributed by 10 July. Memos submitted by members of the Steering Group delineating their individual positions with respect to the issues addressed in the ISMS will be collated and submitted to Mr. Colby about 10 July. ICBM Study An abbreviated version of the GMAIC report, "US RMO 4 Exploitation of Current Soviet ICBM Testing, " was sent to M-1 the printing office 21 June. Approved copy was returned to Dec 74 printing office for final preparation on 2 July. Delivery of 100 copies of the final printing was promised for 8 July.
