SUBJECT Memoranda in Support of Secretary
Kissinger's Trip to the People's
Republic of China
Attached is the briefing book you requested for
Dr. Kissinger's trip to Peking later this year. It
includes those subjects listed in your 28 October
memorandum to the Director of Central Intelligence
plus additional biographic sketches requested by
Mr. Solomon. Also attached is one of our last copies
of the Intelligence Report "Peking and Environs," which
was prepared as part of the briefing materials for
then-President Nixon's trip to China. It is forwarded
in the event that Dr. Kissinger may have misplaced his
copy of the report but would find it useful at this
time. Copy Number 1 of the briefing book is for
Dr. Kissinger; Numbers 2 and 3 are for your and Mr.
Solomon's use.
