1. PRD is prepared to select good items of finished intelligence
produced by USIB a encies (other than CIA) and to pass these on to
the DCI, through I I and to the Vice President, through
Z. I suggest that we indicate to you and to AD/DCI/IC precisely
what we are forwarding (providing you with copies, if appropriate),
but I urge you not to take on the burden of clearing each item in
advance.
3. Guidance I have received from (suggests that neither
the .SCI nor the Vice President is anxious to receive much additional
material---only that which is unusually important or interesting or,
perhaps, controversial. So I would not expect a large flow of items,
but we will carefully review the 'take'' for possibilities.
4. I will assume that these procedures are o. k. unless I hear
to the contrary.
