I am concerned that simple editing of the internal Weekly as the basic source could lead to trouble. For example, item 3 of your sample newsletter, attached to your 24 January memo. worst l not be appropriate for inclusion in a Monthly Newsletter. Jim Vance's initiative to me on SecDef planning and program guidance is a delicate matter and the inclusion of such an item in a Monthll Newsletter could seriously damage the relationship I'm building with him. intend to create a deluge of inquiries in response to such a newsletter Another concern I have I. the procedures that will be followed in preparing such a newsletter and the additional workload implied.
