SUBJECT: Weekly Activities Report
1. Washington Area Imagery Transmission System (ITS-W)
The report of the Chairman of the IHC .Ad Hoc Working Group on
ITS-W will be forwarded to the D/DCI/IC shortly. The Phase I
contract, covering the engineering definition of the system, has been
completed and ,a Phase II contract, covering the building of the sys-
tem, will be entered into provided the D/DCI/IC approves.. Action

Deputy Director, NSA expressed his Agency's interest
in the IHC's support for a strong Community Data Standards Program.
IHC is following the present data standards experiment with COINS
and when this additional information is available will resubmit the
report of the IHC Data Standards Panel to the Committee for agency
positions. Final action will probably require submission to USIB.
