MEMORANDUM FOR: Executive Officer, IC Staff
SUBJECT: USIB/IHC Weekly Activities Report
1. Community Internetting
ASD(I) and DIA are in an early stage of developing a
plan for telecommunication netting of intelligence data
bases in the various DoD Departments, Services and Commands.
IHC Staff is exploring the implications of this long-range
planning as it relates to the intelligence community out-
side DoD. Specifically, discussions have taken place with
TRW who has carried out studies for ASD(I) and DIA on this
plan. Action officer:
2. Worldwide Military Command and Control System (WWMCCS)
IHC Staff is reviewing a rought draft report prepared
by IBM/WWMCCS Intelligence Interface Group, describing aspects
of intelligence systems and networks that interact with
WWMCCS. Action officer: IHC
3. ASD(I) Proposal Regarding Upgrading of COINS
A reply was prepared to ASD(I)'s letter to the DCI
proposing use of a CIA computer in the system and the assign-
men of staff members of CIA and NPIC to the COINS Project
Management Office. This replyis in the process of coordin-

II. ON-GOING ACTIVITIES
1. National Imagery Plan for Satellites (NIPS)

A. A meeting was held with Messrs. 25X1
of EXSUBCOM to coordinate activities relative to Annexes
and D (Exploitation and Dissemination) of the NIPS.
B. Attended briefing for the DCI on classified program
to gather data for NIPS drafting.
C. Reviewed IRDHS program review document to develo
data for the NIPS drafting. Action officer: IHC/

A briefing on project CONTEXT was given to a representative
of TRW. This briefing was to prepare the way for technical
discussions concerning large screen displays. It is hoped
to incorporate such displays in the system and various avenues
of procurement are being explored. Action officer: IHC/

Attended two-day meeting of this committeel 25X1
Briefed the group on the history of this activity and partici-
pated in discussions regarding its future mission. Action
