ADD/I called the Director's attention to a UPI report on the Soviet
supersonic transport. (See Action 1)
Kent said that he is arranging the handling of Memoranda to
Holders of NIE 11-8 and NIE 11-14 so that a USIB meeting this week
will be unnecessary.
A-DD/S&T called the Director's attention to a Memorandum of
Conversation betweeni and the Second Secretary of the
Soviet Embassy concerning the Soviet ABM program.
DDCI passed the posture statements of the Secretary of the Navy
and the Chief of Naval Operations to the ADD/I.
DDCI called attention to a New York Times article this morning
assessing the damage to the Agency from the recent NSA disclosures.
DDCI noted two cables from Ambassador Battle in Cairo. Godfrey
called the DDCI's attention to a third cable, which he will provide.

1. The Director asked Goodwin to contact Goulding at DOD to
arrange a refutation of the UPI report on the Soviet SST.
2. The Director asked Goodwin to get him a transcript of
Sunday's "Face the Nation" television program.
