Approved Fo,lease 2006/01/17 : CIA-RDP80R012 001800020016-9 10 July 1967 Morning Meeting of 10 July 1967 DD/I said that preliminary analysis of the aircraft displayed at the air show in Moscow indicates that none of the eight new prototypes are in operational service. Most of these eight have been seen in various stages of their development. DD/I called attention to the annex in Sunday's Vietnam Sitrep on the death of North Vietnamese Politbureau member Thanh. He proposed to include a summary and publish it as a separate memoran- dum. DD/I called the Director's attention to the completed memorandum on the situation in Hanoi, which has already received VIP distribution. Godfrey said that the Soviet ships which will be arriving at Port Said today are presumably drawn from those which have been maneuver- ing in the Mediterranean. We do not yet have a count of the number which will be involved in the visit. Godfrey discussed the situation in the Congo. DD/P discussed with George Allen a cable reporting on Repre- sentative Moss's visit to Vietnam. The Director noted that the DDCI will chair USIB this week since he will be on the Hill. DD/S&T said that the Director will have his briefing notes tomorrow. The Director said he will decide who will accompany him after he has examined the notes.
