DD/I reported on the status of the thermal power plant in Hanoi
based on the most recent photography.-/
DD/I noted a letter of commendation from the President to the
White House Situation Room following the Middle East crisis.
DD/I briefed the Director on biographic support given to Don
Hornig in connection with his European trip.
Godfrey gave the Director a copy of the findings of the Israeli
court of inquiry on the U. S. S. Liberty incident.
Kent reported on
yesterday.
Carver reported on a luncheon which he and C /FE had with
Secretaries McNamara and Vance yesterday and on an afternoon session
at the White House with Roche, McPherson, and Jordan.
Warner said that Senator Percy is asking for a briefing on Cuba.

Larsen.

Committee check with their staffs to be sure that the summer employees
have been properly received and indoctrinated and that they are busily
employed.
The Director discussed OCI's present system of annotating press
commentaries.

the Central Committee plenum.
